Drongo is a unified food ordering and table booking platform that connects diners and restaurants through a seamless mobile and tablet experience. The platform allows customers to discover nearby restaurants, book tables, preorder meals, and pick up their food directly from the venue.

On the other side, restaurant managers and staff use a dedicated tablet interface to manage incoming orders, confirm or reject bookings, track preparation status, and respond to customer feedback in real time.

Problem

The dining experience is often fragmented across multiple platforms, where customers use separate apps for restaurant discovery, table booking, and food ordering, while restaurants struggle to manage incoming requests from different systems. This disconnect leads to delays, miscommunication, long waiting times, and operational inefficiencies for restaurant teams.

Solution

Drongo brings all aspects of the dining journey into one integrated platform by combining restaurant discovery, table booking, and food ordering into a single, synchronized system. Customers can browse restaurants, reserve tables, place orders, and track their status from one app, while restaurant teams can receive, confirm, and manage those same orders and reservations from a tablet in real time.

From Concept to

Interface

The design of Drongo began with the idea of making dining as intuitive and effortless as ordering a ride through a mobility app. The platform was built around clarity, speed, and real - time interaction, translating complex restaurant workflows into simple, easy to understand interfaces.

Through iterative wireframing, user flows, and high fidelity UI design, the experience evolved into a system that feels natural for customers while remaining powerful and efficient for restaurant staff managing live orders and reservations.

User

Research

Customers expressed the need for predictable dining experiences, where they could book tables, preorder food, and avoid waiting or confusion at the restaurant. Restaurant teams needed a single operational view to manage orders, reservations, kitchen flow, and customer feedback without switching between tools.

User Interface

Architecture

Drongo is structured as two connected applications built on the same system - a customer facing mobile app and a restaurant facing tablet interface.

The customer app supports restaurant discovery, promotions, menu browsing, ordering, table booking, event management, and order tracking, while the restaurant tablet organizes incoming orders, table reservations, order status, customer feedback, and historical data.

Style

Guide

The visual design of Drongo uses warm, energetic colors paired with clean typography to reflect hospitality, urgency, and reliability. A strong red accent highlights actions, alerts, and order statuses, helping users quickly understand what needs attention.
